When I saw the bottle of this nail polish first time, it just fell in love with a scattering of shimmering sparks. And what was my surprise when I painted my nails with it – my expectations were very different from the reality.
Когда я впервые увидела флакончик этого лака, то просто влюбилась в россыпь мерцающих искорок. И какое же было мое удивление, когда я накрасила этим лаком – уж очень отличались мои ожидания от реальности.
Flying Dragon is one of the polishes from INK summer 2008 Collection. This is a neon purple with a hint of fuchsia and with magenta and blue shimmer. For dense coating you need 2 layers. When polish dried it become a little darker than in the bottle. As with most neons, it has a matte finish, and glitter is almost discernible.
Flying Dragon входит в коллекцию INK лета 2008. Это фиолетовый неон с оттенком фуксии и шиммером малинового и голубого цветов. Для плотного покрытия нужно 2 слоя, при высыхании лак становится немного темнее, чем в бутылочке. Как и у большинства неонов, финиш у лака матовый, и глиттер практически не различим.
Of course, I apply my nails with a top coat to see how the polisj will look with glossy. I covered my nails with Morgan Taylor – Make It Last top coat. Color of polish and glitter became brighter. You may also notice that without a top coat color of the polish is more purple, and with top coat it’s close to the fuchsia.
Конечно, я не могла не нанести топовое покрытие, чтобы посмотреть как этот лак будет смотреться в глянцевом варианте. Я покрыла ногти топом Morgan Taylor – Make It Last и лак стал ярче, а глиттер стало видно еще лучше. Также можно заметить, что без топа цвет лака более фиолетовый, а в топом – приближенный к цвету фуксии.
For three days my manicure was in perfect condition and I erased it just for the new swatches. Despite the presence of shimmer, polishish removes easily.
Три дня маникюр был в идеальном состоянии и я стерла его только ради нового свотча. Не смотря на наличие шиммера, снимается лак легко.
I still have quite mixed feelings about this polish. On the one hand, I didn’t expect that it is a matte polish. It seemed to me, that its “highlight” is a bright shimmer, but with a matte finish shimmer is hardly distinguishable, and the manicure looks a bit dull. On the other hand, I used a glossy top that “revived” this polish – made it interesting and brighter.
What do you say about the Flying Dragon? Do you prefer the native polish finish or with a glossy top coat?
У меня остались достаточно противоречивые чувства к этому лаку. С одной стороны, я не ожидала, что это будет матовый лак. Как мне показалось, его “изюминка” именно в ярком шиммере, а при матовом финише шиммер практически не различим, да и сам маникюр смотрится немного уныло. С другой стороны, я использовала глянцевый топ, который “оживил” этот лак – сделал его интересней и ярче.
А что вы скажете относительно Flying Dragon? Вам больше нравится лак с родным финишем или с глянцевым топом?
